We are looking for talent! Our company is seeking a recent or soon-to-be graduate in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent, with experience in software development to join our software development team.

As a junior software developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, unit testing, documenting, and maintaining the software of a medical device. To excel in this role, you should be a highly creative person with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe surgical cases and see first-hand how our products are helping patients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and unit test software based on documented requirements
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Write documentation in compliance with a documented quality management system
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Collaborate and solve problems with the software development team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the software development process
  • Experience in software development using C++ and C# and/or objective oriented principles

The Clinical Solutions Specialist role supports 7D Surgical’s innovative products in the operating room, working closely with clinicians. This role requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, high technical aptitude, strong problem solving and good communication. In addition, the ideal candidate must be a “people person,” forming good relationships with surgeons and operating room staff, as well as establishing credibility and trust quickly. As a representative of 7D Surgical’s new technology, the Clinical Solutions Specialist will play an important role in bringing its benefits to patients by working in operating rooms and other clinical settings to train and support our users.

7D Surgical provides a collaborative environment where you will work with some of the most innovative engineers and experts in the medical device industry. We are looking for talented biomedical engineers or other health sciences majors looking to join our team and use their technical expertise to provide a real clinical impact.

 

Responsibilities

  • Become a product expert of 7D Surgical’s technology offering
  • Advise surgeons and staff on all aspects of the technology and products
  • Be a resource to hospitals, managing customer requests, feedback, and support
  • Work closely with sales, providing assistance with clinical evaluations, demonstrations, trade-shows, and lead generation
  • Translate customer feedback, issues, and requests to Engineering and Quality and Regulatory teams

 

Qualifications

  • Based in the Southern California area
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related medical/health/clinical sciences degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong communication of technical subjects to a wide range of audiences
  • Quick analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Independent worker, strong work ethic, an self-motivated
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States
  • Long hours at times
  • Flexible day-to-day availability and schedule

 

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Experience with surgical navigation technologies

  • Strong computer literacy
  • Understanding of PACS, DICOM, networking

As part of the team, you will contribute throughout the product development lifecycle and play a critical role in shaping the final product. In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe surgical cases and see first-hand how our products are helping patients and surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Understand technical requirements and generate design concepts
  • Conduct design reviews to evaluate design concepts and tradeoffs
  • Prepare technical drawings for prototyping and production using SolidWorks
  • Write and execute verification test protocols
  • Prepare documentation in compliance with the quality management system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or equivalent
  • 1- 5 years industrial CAD experience with SolidWorks
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D printing
  • Experience with hardware/mechanical developmentin a regulated environment (e.g. FDA, EU GMP, ISO 13485)
