Research Coordinator

We are looking for a passionate and creative Research Coordinator. As the primary sponsor liaison and advocate, the Research Coordinator requires experience in pre-clinical and clinical trials, research studies, grant writing, peer-reviewed publications, key account management and cadaver studies. Utilizing existing templates, processes and programs as a guide, they will adapt/develop, implement, monitor and be accountable for project protocols, operational plans, risk management, resources, project tools/materials, documents and timelines

As part of our team, you will be integrated directly into our research & development teams and exposed to our product development lifecycle to play a role in shaping our commercial products. In addition, you will have the opportunity to observe surgical cases and see first-hand how our products are helping patients.


    • Apply consultative skills to assist investigators with study feasibility assessments, protocol development, planning & implementation of research studies
    • Apply advanced knowledge of research regulations, guidelines & best practices to ensure the ongoing oversight & management of research studies, specifically in the areas of regulatory & ethics compliance, protocol compliance, data management, quality assurance, financial sustainability, and congruency between protocols, budgets & contractual agreements
    • Design, write, and management of research grants
    • Organize and execute cadaver labs
    • Manage comparative research initiatives with 3rd party imaging and research organizations
    • Document and communicate issues found during pre-clinical & clinical testing to facilitate corrective action by product engineers
  • Interface directly with surgeons and clinical staff


    • At minimum, a completion of a Bachelor’s degree program, MSc or PhD from an engineering or medical discipline is an asset
    • One (1) to Three (3) years clinical and/or professional experience, and
    • At least 1 year experience in medical imaging clinical trials & study budgeting
    • Advanced knowledge of clinical research best practices, regulations & guidelines, experience with Investigator-initiated studies preferred
    • First hand experience with intraoperative imaging modalities (CT, MR) and image guided surgery
    • Possess leadership and managerial skills and have recognized experience in these areas
    • Excellent conflict resolution, team building, and interpersonal skills required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization skills, good computer skills, ability to learn quickly and work independently
    • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
    • Excellent critical-thinking, decision-making, problem-solving & negotiation skills
    • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks
